Corpus Christi, TX –
This November and December, the Texas Museum of Asian Cultures and Education Center is thrilled to offer Free Museum Days every day they are open, Wednesday through Sunday, 12 PM to 5 PM. Sponsored by HEB and in partnership with Visit Corpus Christi and the City of Corpus Christi, these complimentary admission days invite the community to experience the Museum’s latest series, Journey to the East.
Launching with the Night of 100 Yōkai on November 9th—a lively event inspired by the traditional Japanese folklore Hyakki Yagyō, or “The March of 100 Spirits”—Journey to the East brings Asia’s rich cultures to life with classes, events, and interactive experiences. The Museum will celebrate its 50th anniversary with a special weekend of activities on December 7th and 8th, welcoming visitors to join in this milestone.
“We are excited to celebrate our 50th year with free museum days and new programming,” said Richard Hafemeister, Museum CEO. “Thanks to HEB’s support, we’re able to share these vibrant events with our community.”
As the Museum marks 50 years, we invite everyone to celebrate with us and become part of our journey. Whether through visiting, volunteering, or joining as members, the Texas Museum of Asian Cultures welcomes all to be part of this cultural milestone.
